This is the last of the Christmas pages that I’ve done for 2010. Absolutely LOVE these 2 kits from Creashens!! I struggle with which elements to put into my LO, there is just so many of my ‘favorites’!! Less is more certainly does not apply to me here!! :-D

Anyways..

Just left this one out from my earlier post with all my Christmas pages… I thought this was perfect for me to just blog a little about what’s been happening around here.

So yes, I’m writing from our makeshift computer/work table in our new home in Gita Bayu. We moved in here on the 10th of December (apparently the last ‘good day’ of the year according to my grandmother and her oracles). It was just a HUGE mess.. I will spare you all from all the drama about the BIG migration here to the ‘other side’ of town. And prior to that about 2 weeks before we are to move, my bloody maid decides to run away!! Woke up one Sunday morning and she was gone… took some of her things, left some of her dirty clothes soaking in a bucket and about RM300-400 from my purse. MAybe she already knew I was going to send her back… Sigh! I dunno.. And that was the beginning of my hell.

So in between all this drama and stuff happening.. Christmas was really like impossible. We usually have a big party or sometimes 2 parties (one for friends and then another for family) and I’ll have a menu and cookies and the works prepared way ahead. Christmas party is my thing!!  BUT this year… no way.. I had no cookies baked, no cake, nothing. Even my tree only came out like a day before Christmas eve. The kids were getting worried and was asking alot of questions..especially Aiden. So on the eve night, I realized that I have no cookies when they were preparing the tray… And I thought.. “OMG! What’s happening to me? I’m such a loser! I’ve completely lost it!” Oh well… Santa just have to eat those cookies out of a packet.

So in the end, we did have the party… potluck! I did do my ham as always and a potato cream cheese tart (which Henry taught me) And the rest I just ask everyone else to help me out… But we did have a great party with LOTS of food. Most importantly the kids had fun, that was the whole point of it anyways…

On Your second Christmas

This is very, very post dated…

Journalling on LO reads:

This year is your second Christmas… You are so excited when I was putting up the Christmas tree. I’m sure you are not too sure about what’s all the fuss about or why we are putting up this giant tree in the house but you got along with it and was trying to help me too! I guess you can just feel all the excitment and the magic of Christmas! Since this year you are already walking around and quite an inquisitive child, I thought you’ll be pulling things off the tree… or worst still, bring down the whole tree! But you were quite good, no falling Christmas tree and not even a single broken decoration. When I was taking down the tree, you were quite confused and a little upset.. Perhaps you thought that it was to be a permanent thing in out little ‘sun room’. You kept saying “No! No!”  and “Why?” Perhaps… by next year, you’ll understand better what’s all this about…

My Turn

This year it’s Caitlyn’s turn to put up the star on out Christmas tree. Last year was Aiden, Caitlyn was too little to do it anyway… So Daddy has made it as our family tradition to take turns to put up the star. Of course Aiden was not too happy about not having the honors this year but he soon relented after much persuasion and explaining.

Caitlyn was very excited about the whole thing, although I don’t think she really knows what it all about. She still couldn’t manage after Daddy carried her up to the tree many times… so in the end after she has some what stuck it on the tree, he helped her secured it on while she looks on happily. I’m sure when it’s her turn again, she’ll be able to do a better job. ;-)
