This is so post dated…

Aiden turned 5 on the 2nd of November… that’s 14 days ago (2 weeks!!) I’m such a bad Mom… But better late then never. I promised that I’ll write this post, so here it is.

This year we didn’t have any party for him… He didn’t want one :-(  Infact, he actually wanted to go to the beach for his birthday (this is after he saw photos from our Rawa trip) But unfortunately, because we live in this wonderful tropical country where we have monsoon around this time of the year. It is impossible to go Rawa and I think they close the island during the monsoon anyway. So I tried to have a little party for him but somehow it didn’t happen. We had so many things happening and parties and dinners because many of our relatives came back from all 3 continents to attend ‘Kam Mou’s (Greg’s aunt) 80th birthday party.

It may sound very sad for the little boy but please don’t feel sorry for him… This year he is super happy on his Birthday. No only is he finally 5 (to him is a great thing) he also got his much coveted Nintendo DS!! On top of that… Godpa Paul came over with a birthday cake, Po Po and Kung Kung brought pizza to have a little party for him. A few days later Ma Ma and Yeh Yeh (greg’s parents) had another little party for him over at theirs’ complete with ice cream cake and all… ;-)

A few days before his birthday someone asked me how old he is. I said that he’ll be 5 in a few days… but he was quick to correct me that he is not yet 5. I asked him then when? I thought he’ll count the days but he said

“I’ll be 5 when I’ve blow out the candles and ate the cake!”

Today I turn 30!! Finally the BIG 3-0. Actually… I’ve been waiting for this day for a year how :-D (Last year I thought I was 30, but Daddy quickly reminded me I was only 29!)

I thought I’ll have lots to write about but at this moment… I don’t know why I actually don’t. Or maybe I’m just lost for words… maybe it’s the anticipation of this day now I’m speechless. :-( I thought I’ll make a checklist of things I’ve done/achieved during these pass 30 years, sitting here I feel like I’ve not done much. Except for having 2 beautiful kids, which I’m most proud of. I also thought that I might write something sappy but I just can’t pull it out now.

In fact, to be honest… I’m actually feeling a bit low now. No..No.. It’s not because of turning 30. I WANT to be 30, I have no issues about my age or aging for that matter! I think it’s a graceful process and I am proud to be 30. So I don’t know why…

Last night, my parents took us all out for dinner to celebrate my birthday. We had Korean food. We all love that. I sat there and thought to myself… “I’m 30 but instead my parents look like they are 30!” :-D I bet you they don’t feel any older since the day they celebrated my 3rd birthday. Time seems to have frozen for them. Haha! I wonder if I’ll look like I’m 30 when I’m at their age…

So today… as what one of my friend (you know who you are) has invited me to do is to look back on 30 years of my life and see how far I’ve come and who I’ve become. Then maybe… I’ll be able to write my sappy post after that ;-)

OMG!! I actually didn’t know that I did not hit ‘Publish’ for this post until I was reading back my blog!! Bimb moment!! Sorry love… I didn’t forget, although I was angry…

Happy Birthday Daddy!

‘The Gang’ got together for a… gathering and took the opportunity to celebrate Greg’s 34th birthday. It was kind of like a surprise thingy but I guess they were the ones who was ‘surprised’ at the end when I arrived alone without birthday boy… He was suppose to fly in the morning and arrived back in time for the … gathering. But duty calls and he had to do a later flight (they changed his flight last minute)

So what to do? Erica already prepared the cupcakes and all… so we celebrated without the birthday boy lah..

We took this photo to show him that we celebrated his birthday… kekeke! we sang happy Birthday to Greg and the kiddos were thrilled to blow out the candles for him. :-)

Happy Birthday Love!
