This is a long over due post. I’ve tried a couple of times to write but always get distracted or when I have the time… I’m lost for words. As I have confessed to my Path Finder friend the other day, I’ve been putting this off for so long that there’s so much to write and I just don’t know where to start. But I guess I can no longer hold it off, I’ll just have to pin it down. So hold on…this might be a long one but I’ll try not to be too ‘cheong hei’So today is the 6th day of Christmas and we’ve been to 2 house parties (1 which was held in my home with the Pinkies of AW), 1 night of clubbing with my gurlies, 2 dinner parties, 1 wedding party (Congrats again Lawrence and Sharon) and 1 more house party that is actually tonight with the boys aka The Suffering Serpents and the wifeys. If that sounds like a mouth full… you can imagine how it feels like.. want to ‘pengsan’ (faint) already.Of course the kiddies had a ball of a time…especially Aiden. He got all the things in his wish list and more, more, more… It’s amazing…if only he knows for real how loved he is and how blessed he is. The best Christmas gift was of course the cooking set which was given to him by his ‘Ku Cheah’ Cerena. So the story is Santa told her to pass it to him. Hehhe! I wonder how long he is gonna buy this story? On the eve of Christmas, he drew a Birthday card for Jesus and he asked his Daddy “How old is Jesus?”Now…how do you answer a question like that? and before we hushed him off to bed he prepared the snacks for Santa and his reindeer when they come round to deliver the goodies… So that night Greg and I had some snacks while wrapping up the last minute shopping. But guess who had to put bite marks on the carrots…So all in all…I think we did pretty good this year. It’s really nice end to the year. A few first times ( very nice!!)…1) Caitlyn’s first Christmas. Our family has grown this year!2) Aiden wrote his first Wish List.3) Our sunroom is finally ready! actually we are there all the time now.4) First year all the members of the SS aka ‘the boys’ are all married and we will soon have an additional baby SS member too! Hope there will be more to come from the ‘OTHER’ members of the SS.5) First time I’ve created a Torch Receiver and Torch Bearer… All my Aw friends will know what I’m talking about. If you wanna know what I’m talking about DO THE TRAINING!All of those are the goodies… there are also some other first times that are not so nice. Like this is the first year that we are celebrating Christmas without Popo (Greg’s Grandma) She pass away last year on Christmas day itself. As for my wish list…which was a Sizzix Die-cutting machine and a (don’t faint) Macbook * hey, that’s not only for me but we all know that our laptop needs a change already* Well.. I hinted to ‘Santa’ about the die-cutting machine since I know that the Macbook is out of the question but he made a face after he found out how much it cost and ‘Santa’ doesn’t like my new hobby very much. So, I didn’t receive one under the tree. So on the 3rd day of Christmas I went out to buy myself a Sizzix Sidekick from Ellison Design. Now I can make funky looking titles and labels which my hand cannot possibly create. I’m so excited about it and I have so many ideas waiting for me to try out with the machine. Actually talking about it now is making my hands itch! I can’t wait to scrap all my Christmas photos… I haven’t done any, that’s why you don’t see it. I’ll get right on it.
So, there’s 1 and a half more days to go till the year come to an end. Time to reflect on what the past year has brought us and how much we have grown ( not only waist line ya) Cherish family and friends that have been with us through thick and thin and helping us grow emotionally and fill our days with laughter and sometimes tears. New friends made along the way, especially the ones that we least expect, become very much a part of us *you know who you are* In case I get into my scrapping frenzy again…and I don’t post till next year… I would just want to thank all those people that that I have mention above, you know who you are. I’m looking forward to 2008. I don’t know what it will bring, but never the less I welcome it with open arms and with my heart full of hope and dreams for the year to come.
