This year I had 2 Reunion dinners… The first one was on the Sunday before the eve of New Year with the Tan’s clan at my MIL’s of course, because Greg going was working on the eve. So on the eve I got to join my own family’s reunion dinner at my aunt’s at Bukit Utama:-) I’m very happy because it’s been a few years already that I have not had a chance to do so… We had steamboat dinner and it was just a lot of balls, all sorts of balls and the very yummy ‘special’ pork slices which my aunt had stand in line for 45 mins to buyI bought the yummy Yee Sang from Loon Seng restaurant (the best I’ve had this year). We also celebrated Bryan’s birthday that night with a very nice Mixed Berries meringue. It was ALOT to eat and we had like 3-4 rounds at the steamboat. It was really good and thanks to the sexy hostess (my aunt) for preparing such a lovely meal. I’ll be looking forward and hoping 9again) that I might get to join them for Reunion again next year.

Funky Stamped Alpha- Freebie.

This is the last of the Christmas pages that I’ve done for 2010. Absolutely LOVE these 2 kits from Creashens!! I struggle with which elements to put into my LO, there is just so many of my ‘favorites’!! Less is more certainly does not apply to me here!! :-D

Anyways..

Just left this one out from my earlier post with all my Christmas pages… I thought this was perfect for me to just blog a little about what’s been happening around here.

So yes, I’m writing from our makeshift computer/work table in our new home in Gita Bayu. We moved in here on the 10th of December (apparently the last ‘good day’ of the year according to my grandmother and her oracles). It was just a HUGE mess.. I will spare you all from all the drama about the BIG migration here to the ‘other side’ of town. And prior to that about 2 weeks before we are to move, my bloody maid decides to run away!! Woke up one Sunday morning and she was gone… took some of her things, left some of her dirty clothes soaking in a bucket and about RM300-400 from my purse. MAybe she already knew I was going to send her back… Sigh! I dunno.. And that was the beginning of my hell.

So in between all this drama and stuff happening.. Christmas was really like impossible. We usually have a big party or sometimes 2 parties (one for friends and then another for family) and I’ll have a menu and cookies and the works prepared way ahead. Christmas party is my thing!!  BUT this year… no way.. I had no cookies baked, no cake, nothing. Even my tree only came out like a day before Christmas eve. The kids were getting worried and was asking alot of questions..especially Aiden. So on the eve night, I realized that I have no cookies when they were preparing the tray… And I thought.. “OMG! What’s happening to me? I’m such a loser! I’ve completely lost it!” Oh well… Santa just have to eat those cookies out of a packet.

So in the end, we did have the party… potluck! I did do my ham as always and a potato cream cheese tart (which Henry taught me) And the rest I just ask everyone else to help me out… But we did have a great party with LOTS of food. Most importantly the kids had fun, that was the whole point of it anyways…

Ang Pow

Credits: Marmalade Skies by Franziska Altmann, available at Scrapbook Graphics.

This year is Caitlyn’s 2nd Chinese New Year… *sigh* How time flies!! I still remember last year she just started to stand on her own, we even had to help her serve tea to Yeh-Yeh and Ma-Ma (Grandpa and Grandma) This year she is running around with Aiden a little terror on her own! Also this year she has learn to receive ‘ang pows’. I remember last year she’ll throw it away the moment she receives it or worst still she’ll turn away screaming :-| Very embarrassing indeed. Luckily she is so little then, so it’s excusable. This year however, she is making up for last year! She’ll say her very cute “Ten Yu!” (Thank You!) and “Giong Xi! Giong Xi!” (Gong Xi! Gong Xi!) Very cute!! ;-)
