I started blogging half a year ago…if you are wondering how come you don’t see any of those post,that’s because I’ve deleted them all. Most of the things that I’ve written before were rather private (about myself and others) and I’ve written somethings that I’ll rather people not read about. Now, I’m writting to pass time and also it’s a great way for my friends and relatives to catch up with what’s happening with the family. As most of what I’ll be writting will be about the family. It is also very relaxing for me to jot down the happenings of the day and to collect my thoughts.
Who am I?
My name is Elaine. I’m married to Greg since 2003. Why we got married? We got pregnant…and yes,of course we lurve each other…It took a lot of love (and courage) to make that decision,and every little bit for that tiny little being growing inside of me. Never looked back ever since. Being a mom has brought me back to ground (literary) and it has made me a better person. Ever since then I have also joined the very esteemed group of superhumans called Mommies R Us or Momzillas.We have this ability to communicate telepathically amongst ourselves (we are still perfecting this super power so that we can use it on our children as well). How did I ever survived before I developed this super power? Which brings me to the next question of…..
WHAT DO I USE TO DO?
Well..I used to be the It Girl. I flew for an ‘International Award Winning Airline/Cabin Crew’ (get the hint?) for 8 years.I started flying as soon as I was at thequalified age of 18.You don’t have to guess my age,I just turned 29 and looking forward to tick the next box with the rest of my sistas! Earned enough to feed my lust for designer bags,shoes…. Partied with the most fabulous people all over the world my job took me. Had the craziest time of my life. Well, put it this way, to a lot of girls, I was It. I use to be the one sashaying up and down the aisle while dirty old men check up on me in my rather tight fitting ‘kebaya‘. I never really understood why because I’ve never had any butt back then, and while I flew on the ‘mega top’ (that’s what they called the B747) I never had any on me, I’m not talking about clothes….Ha! Ha! So, no, I’ve never been kept by any Datuks or Tan Sri or Royalties…dated Datuk’s sons,yes, a few, a couple of pilots and stewards. None of them worked out…I guess I was kind of allergic to relationships. So,no, I did not meet my husband Greg on board for those of you have already made that assumption.
So… Where?
I met my husband in the most unconventional way at the most unconventional place you would meet a husband. But then again…dah-ling I’m a fag hag. Greg use to spin in a gay club…well it use to be a gay club. Back in those days there use to be at the most 4 girls (as in they are born female)that are regulars at the club. As years go by and since I don’t know when…it has become fashionable to have a gay best friend,the club,I would say has predominantly gay clubbers. So yes…I’m a fag hag. Just like how my ’sisters’ would say “Gay and Proud of it!” I would say…”A Fag Hag and Proud of it!” So…yes,I met my husband atthe most unlikely place…at a gay club. Well, actually I didn’t technically meet him there but well.. it all started from there. I guess what made it possible was because that’s the only time when I can let my guard down and be totally relax and I know there wouldn’t be some weirdo wanting to buy you a drink or rub themselves on you.
ABOUT GREG
He is a Captain for AirAsia. He is every bit a supportive and loving husband as he is a doting father.Both our kids absolutely adores him to bits. Well I guess that’s because he is like a child as well.. Sometimes when people ask me how many kids do I have. I’ll say 3…2 boys and a girl. I don’t think that there will be any other man that would be able to be as patient or live with all my queer ways or friends. Actually if he wasn’t…I don’t think I’ll ever marry him (preggars or not) I think he loves the attention he gets from them and is very much part of the group. He plays tennis with my BFF and parties with us all the time. I don’t think any other men would be able to fit the shoe… they’ll never make it pass the ’sistas’.
ABOUT AIDEN
Aiden is the reason for all of this. It’s because of this little fella that we are who are and where we are right now. He just turned 4 years old and is currently attending pre-school. How we came up with the name Aiden? Well we didn’t, Paul his Godpa did. So,no…it has nothing to do with Aidan Quinn or Sex and The City.
ABOUT CAITLYN
She is the answer to our prayers and that angels do exist. Although we did not plan for her…but we really wanted to have a little girl. When we found out that it’s going to be a girl… we were absolutely elated. Greg had on a grin and a victory smile for almost a week! I was a bit confuse as I did not plan for this (so that’s 2nd time in a row,I should get used to this) but I was over the moon when I found out that I’m going to have a baby girl. She is about 9 months now. So, I’m not going to write a lot about the kids as you’ll be reading a lot about them in the blog. so, I hope that you’ll hang around and grow together with us.
WHAT ELSE?
Well… I guess I’ll also be sharing about other things that I love… like my life long obsession with handicraft. Right ow I’m busy scrapbooking. I can knit and quilt make jewellery,tatting… just to name a few. And yesss…about my goddess HELLO KITTY!!! I nearly named this blog something to do with Hello Kitty and being mommy…(because that’s moi) My culinary escapades and family travels.. gossips once a while maybe? So stay tune and pick my brains… MUAH!
