Speechless….

Nails

This actually happened last week when I was going for my nails appointment but did not blog it as I was waiting to scrap this LO first… And as usual, I got caught up with 2000 things lah!!

ALL I HAVE TO SAY IS… Cait has definitely got my genes in her and she’s really my gurly!

So, she woke up one morning while I was getting dressed to go out and she asked me where to…

Cait: Mommy, where you go?

Moi: Do my nails… (hoping she’ll just go back to sleep…)

BUT NO….

Cait: (Got up and jumping on the bed) I wan do nails too!! I wan do nails too!!

Moi: **roll eyes** Okay… But you’ll have to mandi and get ready NOW!

Cait: OK!! Mei-mei mati (mandi) ah…  Mommy, you wait for mei-mei ah…

With that she leaped from the bed and out of the room screaming for the maid to ‘mati’ her, by the way… She cannot pronounce ‘mandi’ (bath/shower) she says ‘mati’ (die).

Cait: Kakak!!!! I wan mati! I wan mati!!    ** **

My maid was very surprise, coz it usually takes her about 15 mins to coax Caitlyn to have her bath… Even she was laughing at Caitlyn… Our little princess was SO good we were actually out of the house in 20mins. That’s record time. In the car while I was driving us to there I could see that she was deep in thoughts and she was looking at her nails… Then suddenly she said to me,

Cait: Mommy…. I wan purple color.

Moi: (Want to tease her a bit) Purple! That’s nice but I thought you like pink? Why not choose pink?

Cait: (frowning ..) NO!! I WAN purple!! I like purple!

Moi: *giggle giggle** Ok, ok… purple.

And she was happy… Then I was running through my ‘To Do’ list in my head and remembered that she needed a new pair of swimming suit, and thought maybe we can drop by Adam’s kids as they are having a sale.

Moi: Baby, maybe later after nails we can go look for a new swimming ‘baju’ for you?

Cait: (she was very annoyed, shook her head, frowned at me)  NO!! I dou wan swimming….. Spoil my nails!!!

And she actually said all this in a ‘are you stupid’ kinda tone. Now it’s really funny, every time I think back I’m laughing… But at that moment, I swear to you I was stunned. She actually had me speechless! I don’t know where on earth she picked it up from… I know, most of you will say she must have got it from me… but really… I don’t think so. I must have said something like that before but not towards swimming because I have not jumped into a pool with them for a long time. So how on earth can she put those two things together? I mean… like really….. **insert roll eyes here**

As if that not enough… After we got home that day, she was all tired but VERY happy with her purple nails (can posing for this photo for me)… she had new nap late.. I woke her up for dinner  and guess what was the first thing she looked at when she opened her eyes?

YES!!

Her nails….

then said “I dou wan eat… Mei-mei not hawgry…”

A few days after our nails episode, we were out having lunch with Daddy. We bought some ’siew pou’ and egg tarts. She didn’t want any noodles that we were eating so I offered her some egg tarts as I know she likes them very much…

Moi: You want soe ‘tan tart’ (egg tart)?

Cait: **Very happy, clapping hands all..**  Yes!! I like ‘bun tart’ !!

  Mommy and Daddy speechless again!!
