Not my apartment… but my blog! As you can see I still have the old blog header, but I have slowly removed some things from my widget column. So the next thing on top of my list is creating a new header with all 3 of them plus the dog and maybe Ultra Cool daddy as well. Depending if he wants to be in it or not. I have no idea right now, so suspect it might actually take ‘some’ time to complete. Just can’t wrap my head around it yet.
I know this is a bit weird and confusing AND backdated!! But I just really wanna try to add as much as possible my preggie memories into my blog. Afterall… this will be my LAST!!!
This lovely photo was one of many that was taken by my youngest brother, Daniel.
Very nice. I wish we had time to take some outdoor but as usual, never got to it. But I’m very glad I have these… I’ve wanted this even when I was pregnant with Caitlyn but didn’t know where to go and back then he (Daniel) was too shy to take them for me…
Third Trimester…
This photo was taken at the beginning of my third trimester, 16th Feb 2010, a day before Gerald had to go back to Singapore after Chinese New Year break. We were all gathered at Daniel’s studio for a family cam whore session. ;-P
At this point I was 66.3kg, which means.. I have roughly put on about 11kg. Is that alot? I have no idea. But one thing is for sure is that this pregnancy I actually look the best compared to the last two… I was bigger! Looks like only my tummy grew bigger and boy was my tummy BIG! Feels like carrying a watermelon in front of me. I was practically wobbling about, sitting down was difficult… I thought my tummy couldn’t get any bigger but as the weeks went on… it grew bigger and BiGGER!! Towards the end of my 3rd trimester I practically had to ‘carry’ my belly while walking like a penguin.. not very sexy. Despite looking like that, I remember bumping into a ‘Hi Bye’ friend and he actually asked me “Eh!You pregnant ah?” :-| Are you kiddin’ me or are you blind? I wanted to say “No lah!! I just swallowed a watermelon for fun and now I can’t get it out…” :-|
It was Good Friday, 2 April 2010, 3 weeks and 5 days earlier then your estimated due date. Eventhough you arrived early, you certainly took your time for your grand entrance… It all started the night before when there was some ‘blood discharge’. Infact… Mommy has been experiencing some rather strong contractions for over a week before that which resulted in a false alarm that sent Daddy and Mommy to the hospital thinking that you were going to be a premie. So that night I didn’t want another false alarm which will send the whole family into a frenzy… so I decided to wait at home till there was some contraction or till my water bag breaks. But nothing happened so Mommy called the doctor at about 10pm and he advised us to go in the next day to be examined. But we were on ‘alert’ mode the whole night as the doctor told us that since you are my 3rd baby you will be very fast when it happens. But you were very kind to Daddy and I, we had a good rest at home and in the morning, after Daddy sent Aiden to school… we were off to the hospital with our bags… You see… Mommy already had an inkling that you will arrive early but didn’t expected it to be this early! And my tummy was feeling like it was about to explode!! You were big… NO! My tummy was B I G !!
At the hospital, after being inspected the doctor told us that I was already dilated and the water bag was already very low. So basically Mommy was already in slow labour, and he suggested that we ‘help’ speed up the process. So after a few painful needles and some waiting.. I was getting rather nervous… yes even after 2 times! Thank goodness to drugs I didn’t feel any pain at all but like I said you really took your time to arrive. I cannot imagine if I was actually in pain, I would have gnaw off Daddy’s arm. The nurse kept coming in to check if I was feeling like I was ready to push, which made me even more nervous. Daddy must have sensed this and was sitting with me and tried to take my mind off by attempting to shoot some video… So while we were fooling around with the video cam, I suddenly felt you ‘pushing down’ ! We called in the midwifes and then our doctor arrived a few minutes later, then it was like everything was in fast forward mode… You were born at 3.54pm. Daddy got to cut the unbilical cord for you, which he claimed saved your life as it was wrapped around your neck! I only found out about this like after everything was over. No wonder you were a bit ‘blue’ when you were born, that’s alright… because here you are!!! My beautiful baby girl…
Can you guys believe it…? This LO actually took me a FEW days to complete!! I feel like I’m learning to scrap and write all over again.. Gotta get my juices flowing again!! Well… whatever it is.. here it is, finally!
