I know I’ve just posted that I think I’ve lost my MOJO to write… and then I just remembered that I have not done an update for Aiden and Caitlyn for the longest time!!! How can I do that? I’m a terrible Mom and dare call myself a blogger!!! I remember doing this layout and waiting to use it for the update but some how I forgot. :(  How leh?

Anyway… better late then never. At least Cait is still 2 years old!! :-P  Well, she is actually to be exact 2 years, 1 month, 2 weeks and 4 days old (thanks to my Lilypie ticker) ;-)

Now that I’m writing this post, I remembered just yesterday that I was watching videos of her when she was just starting to eat solids. She was just barely sitting up in her baby chair. Where did that baby girl go? Now Cait looks more like a little girl then a baby. I know it’s unfair to compare…. (but, how not to leh?) Co pare to Aiden she knows SO much more and also is SO much naughtier then Aiden was at her age. My take o that is that Aiden did have anyone to learn from, he only hung around with adults all the time… While Cait has plenty to learn from her ‘kor-kor’… And that’s why she is also quite a tomboy.

I seems to have lost track or more like given up keeping track of her vital statistics… She hasn’t been putting on weight and I can’t seems to get her to stand still enough to take her height. But I know that she is still about 12kgs and I’m sure she has grown taller… She must be about 87 cm now. Her shoe size is EUR 24/ Size 7 (for Clarks shoes). Lately I’ve also noticed that both of her canine teeth on the lower jaw is slowly pushing out from her gums, these two actually took quite awhile. Her hair is pass her shoulders now and we can tie her hair up in many styles but she doesn’t really like her hair being tied up though…

Singing - Cait LOVES to sing! Sometime all she needs is to hear a tune a few times and you’ll hear her ‘singing’ along to it in no time. She might not be saying the words but she can surely hold the tune. She already knows all the tunes from the Disney Playhouse programs and getting better at it everyday… Other then that she can ‘sing’ a few Jacky Cheung songs, Tylor Swift and some jazzy tunes. My favorite number from her is the ‘Monkey Jumping On The Bed’ song. Very cute!!

Dancing – Ah.. dancing is also another of my daughter’s strongest forte. She is always either singing or dancing if not both. We are sure to be entertained everyday… Her favorite move is shaking her little butt left and right… very ‘hiao’ (vain) :( But I’m not complaining, she is just SO cute!!

Eating – Sigh!! This one I’m not really proud of. Cait is a carnivore! She eats only meat and also loves her carbs. She hates greens. Daddy will always try to sneak some on to her plate but she’ll always manage to pick it out… If we try to mix it up with the rice or hide it inside a bite… she’ll spit everything out or worst she’ll not eat the whole plate. :( Daddy blames me for this because he thinks it’s because I don’t eat  much greens :-| I really don’t know where he got this from… I guess he just needs to blame someone.. I always give in because I’ll rather her eat something then not eat at all. Luckily she still takes her milk frequently, 3X a day, sometimes even wakes up in the middle of the night for a night feed, and that will make it 4X.

Feeding - Most parents will have to train their kids to eat on their own… but for us it’s opposite. We would love to feed her but she still insist on feeding herself. Why we want to feed her? It’s just that sometime she takes such a long time to eat and she will be playing with her food. I’m not sure how much she has actually eaten. My maid uses this excuse to just leave a plate in front of her and just buggers off till Cait is screaming for her.

Shoe Addict!! - I wonder where she got this from!!?? :P This girl absolutely LOVES shoes!! I think to date she has 2 pairs of runners, 3 pairs of sandals, 1 pair of rubber shoes and 1 pair of flip flops. Everybody buys her shoes because they all know that she has a shoe fetish. Hmm… Maybe it is inherited through the genes..

Shopping – Also another attribute that I think is inherited through the genes.. Cait has her own taste in what she wears. She chooses her clothes when we go shopping and is already showing signs of having quite impeccable taste ;-) When we are shopping for her, she’ll be busy flipping through the hangers of clothes and picking out what she likes and she’ll say ” I like it! I like it!”

Talking – She has LOTS to say!! And her vocabulary is improving everyday… surprising us with new words every now and then. Thanks to our maid, she can also manage a splatter of Malay… Some of her words:

  • meesh – finish
  • abis – habis
  • cheesh – cheese
  • mongkee – monkey
  • shuming – swimming
  • bocks – blocks
  • waf – love

Goon Ka Poh – Yes.. She is the ‘Goon Ka’ in our house. My Mom gave her that nickname. Cait will go round the house nagging and scolding us  with her hands on her hips and a frown on her face. Very serious… ;-) not to be taken lightly LOL!!

The Animal Kingdom – Not too long ago, all animals are ‘wou- wou’ (dogs) to her. Now she is able name quite a few different kinds of animals. Amongst her favorites are Dak (duck), Dog, Meow-meow, mongkee (monkey)…

Toys – She still loves her soft toys… Apart from that is the wagon that Aunty Pat,Kit,Hm and Erica bout for her for her 2nd birthday and then Daddy bought more of those blocks to add on to those that came with the wagon.

I think recently I have lost my mojo to write… I don’t know when it actually went away or why.. But I’ve noticed that I’m writing a lot less there days.. I’ll sometimes have things that I want to write about and ideas would pop in and out of my head while I’m driving or doing something but when I am in front of the laptop… blank!! Why huh?

I also noticed that when ever I’m in front of the laptop, I’m busy catching up with my scrapping… I might have bitten off more then I can swallow. :-| By the time I’m done with my scrapping I’ll be too tired or it’s too late for me to blog as I usually only do all this at night when there are no screaming kids and things to do at home. Sigh! Maybe I should resign at (maybe) 1 of my CTs. (I’m currently in 4)

I know Greg will be shocked to see this coz to him I’m constantly in front of the laptop. And to him, he’ll think that all this is just a waste of time because it doesn’t make any money and that’s why it’s just all rubbish. :(

Well.. back to the important matter at hand. Where should I go find my MOJO back?

Any ideas?

For those of you who have been following my blog will know that I’ve been to this lovely island more then once. 3 times to be exact and out of those 3 times twice is in within 2 months this year. And usually I only sing praises of this beautiful island but not this time… Don’t be mistaken, the island is still lovely as ever, it’s just that something really terrible happened this time and I came back with a big fat bruise as a reminder of the terrible incident. :-( I was actually contemplating if I should blog about this for a few days now…  Why? Well maybe after I’ve told you what happened then you’ll figure out why.

So I was there last week with ‘the gurls’ to celebrate my friend’s birthday and also we wanted to make it a yearly trip to this island. All was well and good we had a wonderful time there until the last night we were there. My friends were on the beach quite far away from the Le Club main restaurant/bar. I went to join them later leaving Greg in our room in Safaris as he was still taking a nap. After I joined the group, I noticed that they were running out of drinks and I wanted to go get Greg as well.. So my friend went with me as he didn’t want to let me walk alone back to the room. As we were walking back to my room, someone from the restaurant shouted at us. Actually he shouted something really rude to my friend but I wanted to make sure… So I walked towards the restaurant to find out what and why was he shouting at us. He came right out and continue shouting at us and he was very rude and clearly was high on something. A few people came running out after him, 2 of the people I know works at Le Club. The cut the whole story short, there was a lot of shouting and he was getting very, very rude. Saying that he owns the island and he is some royalty and that he can and will throw us out of the island that night itself! I was very mad… My point is, I’m a paying customer and have just as much right to be on the island and what have we done wrong that he has the right to throw us out? That was when he pushed and then kicked me on my right thigh and I fell on the beach. Everybody started shouting then and tried to restrained him, I got very angry then. I got up and demanded for an apology but he only got more crazy. That was when my friend said to me that there no point and we should go as he is really getting aggressive and was very high. Then the staff there at Le Club was apologizing profusely saying that he has had a lot to drink and pleaded for us to forget about the whole incident. As we were turning to leave that fellow gave us another push and this time my friend and I both fell as he was hugging me to protect me from that crazy guy after that first push and kick from him. Then more people was trying to hold him down and that was when got back to Safaris. After that I got greg to get all our friends back from the beach. And even our friend who were suppose to stay at the chalet at Le Club did not stay there that night. It was too dangerous.

The next day we went to settle our bill there… Yup, we still had to pay the full price after what happened and the fact that we didn’t even stay there the second night! Technically we were thrown out of that place. But they charged us! Amazing!! There was no apology, nothing…

Of course when we arrived in Mersing, we went to make a police report and we found out that this is not the first time something like this has happened on the island and the culprit involve is HIM. And we also found out many other things about him (but I cannot say it here).

So what happened from then? The manager from the resort we were staying in (Safaris), who is owned by that fella’s uncle, arranged for an interview with a Malay newspaper. I did give them my story and they even took some photos of my very bruised thigh but until now nothing… I guess there’s a lot of red tape when it involves any of our royalties. So maybe they are not in liberty to report? I don’t know.. Even the police have not done anything apparently (according to the Safaris Resort’s manager) So I really don’t know what to do now. I don’t want any compensation but I do want some justice. So is this the fate of us Malaysians? When it comes to royalties we are nothing? Because that’s clearly what this guy thinks… that he really can just do anything and get away with it.

So since I cannot do anything about it… I thought I’ll just have to at least warn my friends and family or whoever that reads my blog about this place. And that’s why I was thinking a few days if I should or shouldn’t blog about this? Many have told me not to… saying that I wouldn’t want to mess with these people.. But really… in this time and day in Malaysia?

But I would end this and still say… that it IS a really beautiful place to go… I still love the island and I will return but I’ll surely be staying in the safety of Safaris Resort, and I’ll never ever step foot in Le Club. It’s just such a pity that such a lovely place is spoiled by some crazy person.

Anyway, here is a link and a update to the case you can read about how this guy gatecrashed a couple’s wedding some time ago… Apparently this is also just one of the many, many incidences.
