Last Tuesday I took Caitlyn to the big wet market for the first time. She was so fascinated with everything…the vegetables, fishes, fruits…the people. I guess it’s just all the colours and flurry of activities all happening at the same time. Definitely a change from our usual Village Grocer supermarket trips.
She on the other hand is different from my dear Aiden who refuses to step into the wet market. Saying it’s smelly. Caitlyn was fighting to get down and touch everything!!
When we were about to leave we passed by a stall selling tropical pet fishes. It caught her attention alright…all the colourful fantails of the guppies, swimming in an aquarium. So we stopped for her to see and I said to her these are fishes. She looked at me wide eyed and I said it again.. “Fish” She got it immediately… except she calls it ” ‘T’ish! ” When we wanted to leave she didn’t want to, she just couldn’t get enough of the Tish! As I remembered that we still have a small aquarium that used to house Aiden’s terrapines at home, so I bought 2 pairs of guppies for her. I know what Daddy is gonna say… “Pet Killers!!” Because none of our pets seem to have last very long… they either get stolen, ran away, killed each other…died.
Yup..
Well… anyway… these fished seems to have my daughter’s attention for quite awhile. She hugged the plastic that holds the tishes all the way home, not sure if that’s what the tishes wanted. I think the tishes would have been so sick from the ride home…not from my driving of course, from Caitlyn hugging and swishing it around. Poor tishes
Now everyday she go to the aquarium and keeps saying “Tish! Tish!”
