This post is actually way overdue. I was actually waiting to scrap a page to go with the post, which I’ve finally done. :-) As of today,Caitlyn is actually 14 months and 2 weeks old.

She is getting cuter and cuter everyday…I was beginning to think that’s not possible as she is just simply so adorable already when she was born. Everyday I fall in love with her again and again. I think I’m speaking not only for myself. Daddy misses her even when we go out without her for half a day! She is learning new tricks to steal our hearts away everyday.

Caitlyn at 14months

  • Weights about 12kgs
  • Has 7 teeth now. 4 up and 3 down. (very painful when she bites! Yikes! :-( )
  • Dances to most tunes…but she exceptionally loves deep house tunes (loves the base),Indian tunes,Chinese pop tunes…
  • Walks steadily on her own…even tries to chase Aiden around the house sometimes.
  • Loves all things PINK. Given a choice she’ll go for pink.
  • She wants to be pretty, knows what is being pretty about. :-) She likes it when we tie her hair up or dress her up in dresses and put on her girly shoes.
  • Makes up her own tunes (and remembers it!) and she’ll sing it all the time. Soooo cute.
  • Loves to play with the phone..any phone, house phone, handphone… remote controls…
  • Calls any four legged friends “wow wow” :-( Yes..even cows, goat, elephant… *pengsan*
  • Wants to eat anything we eat.

She is also learning how to talk… She tries to say the words but mostly it comes out jibberish baby talk. But I can tell she really ‘thinks’ she is making sense, coz she expects a response from you! So next time she ‘talks’ to you…acknowledge puhleeeze! Don’t upset her.

Princess Chut Chut

Before I became a Mom, I made a list of things that I promised myself that I won’t do, (I don’t know..but I think most Moms-to-be have the ‘list’?) and another list with good practices and habits to cultivate in my children.Well… the pacifier is one of those things that I’ve promised myself I will not give my children…it was a promise I never kept. Aiden had it, but he kind of weened himself off it. He fell really ill and didn’t want it anymore. So that was easy…

When Caitlyn came along, I was careful not to make any promises I knew I might not keep. Second time round I must admit I wasn’t that ambitious and probably…or just maybe…wiser :P

Initially the ‘chut-chut’ was only given to C at bedtime and when she wouldn’t settle. It worked like a charm. And as time goes by.. the ‘chut-chut’ seems to be the answer to shut her up quickly. And soon… it became part of her face! She will go searching for it and wouldn’t fall asleep without it. I must admit that I had a lot to do with it. When Etik, my previous maid left, I would give her the ‘chut-chut’ to shut her up when I need to do something and when I’m driving and she had to be by herself in the back of the car. And when I had to teach her to fall asleep on her own so that I could maximize my time to attend to Aiden or housework…the ‘chut-chut’ was my best friend. So, as a result… Caitlyn now has a fashion accessory. Now I’m wondering when and how am I gonna ween her off? It’s not gonna be just hard for her… Mommy too!

Some of you might have noticed that I have added ‘ Credits’ at the bottom of my LO (layouts). That’s to answer some of my friends who have taken a new interest in digital scrapbooking. And also it’s good for me to keep track of what I’e used.. I kinda forget after a while.. I was just too lazy to do it before.. So..I hope it helps!
