Last week it was the 15th anniversary of Leroy and Kassim. I’ve known Leroy for the longest time… since I was in narrow body, during my trolley dolly days (flying domestic Boeing737). Put it this way..I don’t usually check out guys at work, all the more my Leading for the trip, but Leroy caught my eye :-) Ha! Ha! Our paths crossed again when I was out partying one night, that’s how I met Kassim. After that we’ve been friends ever since. Leroy and I even had a pact that when I turn 30 and still unmarried…I will have his baby (the test tube kind of course.. dah-ling!!) ;-)  Well..don’t frown at me! It was only natural…I’m a faghag  and I just can’t stand men and all my friends were gay and I only hang out at gay clubs, I would bite off their heads if any men tried to pick me up (yes, the thinking and not thinking kind :-P ). Now looking back,it must seem rather intimidating for any men who even had a remote idea to pick me up… I was constantly in company of very good looking men. Ha! Ha! :-) Untill I met Greg, of course, who.. happen to be a DJ in a gay club.  Well, anyway back to last week. I was asked by Yam to add a woman’s touch to Bill and Bonni’s rather manly abode. I was to do some floral arrangements to cheer up the occasion.I jumped at the chance, firstly it because it was for Kassim and Leroy, secondly…(yeah!) I get to play with flowers! Only after I’ve accepted the task that I started to panic… not that I’ve not done it before or anything like that…but…

OMG!!! The audience!! A whole bunch of queens! DIE!!

So I tried my best and that’s the result! And thanks to Bill’s encouragements…I pulled through. I really should think about taking up classes though..

Turtle

This photos were taken when we were on our holiday trip to Cherating beach, in the Turtle Sanctuary. It was Aiden’s first time seeing a real turtle instead of watching it on telly at some cartoon version or on Animal Planet. We were very lucky to be there that day because just that morning, a batch of eggs hatched, and so we were able to see these baby turtles! We are not allowed to touch the turtles… but the lady there placed one on my palm so that Aiden could have a closer look. I think it’s because Aiden was so excited and he even sang a lullaby for them to go to sleep!

This actually reminded me of when Aiden was about 2 and a half. We were watching a program about these sea turtles. And there’s scene after the turtles hatched from their eggs they start to make their way back to the sea but some of them gets attacked by birds and other predators… Aiden was very disturbed by this and his face changed… the poor guy was close to tears…

Aiden :  Their Mommy le? (Where’s the turtle’s mommy?)

Me: Well…the Mommy has gone back to the sea, that’s why the babies are going to meet her.

(Aiden frowns even more…I know I wasn’t doing a very good job…)

Aiden: Why she didn’t wait for baby huh? No good! The Mommy no good.

Sigh! How was I suppose to explain the natural cycle of life to my then 2 and a half year old? All I could do then was to give him a big hug to ensure him that all is ok.

Swing

Credits here

This is one of those cute photos of the both of them together that I love. As it is.. it’s not easy to get a good shot of them alone. It’s double the challenge to get a good shot both of them together! So that’s why I have a camera everywhere I go!

It’s was Caitlyn’s first time on a swing, she was really excited. Aiden wants to be BIG brother and wanted to ‘protect’ her and keep her safe on the swing. It wasn’t so difficult to get this shot as they were both having fun and so natural… I guess I just have to catch them in moments like this more often.
