For those of you who have been following my blog, knows that I have just migrated my blog from WordPress to my own hosting. You have no idea in the process of doing just that how much more tutorials and hiccups I’ve run into. As you all know, I’m not like the most tech savvy person. I’ve been actually struggling to set up this site and was pulling my hair out. I haven’t been posting and have actually missed quite a few… (so you’ll be seeing a lot of that) I think Greg was seeing the frustration growing day by day and he suddenly suggested to me “Why don’t you call Bernard?” Hah! PING!! Yeah! Why didn’t I think of that? And ever since I’ve made that call, I’ve never looked back since. And here it is.. Bernard fixed up my site in like 2 hrs. So THANK YOU BERNARD!! I think you are a genius!

Last Sunday was Easter Sunday. We were all invited to my MIL’s for Easter get-together-lunch with the Chan’s, Sam Piew Sook and Bernard. Instead of the usual big cook out my MIL is so famous for, we had noodles this time which was a refreshing change! What’s on the menu? Pan Mee and Johor Laksa. Yummy!! We even have Yee Sang!! That’s different. My MIL went to church early in the morning so was running behind time. We arrived at about 12pm and she was still puttering about in the kitchen. So we all helped or we’ll never have lunch till 3pm! Turns out we had so much fun in the kitchen helping out. You know what happens when all woman come together…*wink* and to top it off,the Tans and the Chans clan is anything BUT the quiet sort. The whole kitchen was a buzz with laughter and chatter.Aiden had a great time making pan mee for us with the help of his favorite Uncle Henry (the chef) and Aunt Bernie. If you remember from my previous post about him wanting to be a chef…Henry was the one to encourage him which had Aiden prepared me breakfast the next morning.Lawrence and Shoba brought a butter cake, that’s yummy too!! Greg actually had second helping and he not the cake kind of person. After lunch we all sat around out to chat and catch up…well.. more like gossip. keke.. The men were all gathered upstairs to watch F1. Kimi won the race…maybe that’s why Greg had a second helpings of the cake, to celebrate.

Not too long ago my brother Di-yao came back from Singapore (he currently works there in Swiss Hotel) Although the kids don’t see him so often, they absolutely adores him to bits! I know it’s not the little trinkets he brings back for them that make them look forward to his return. Well..ok, maybe Aiden a little (Jiu-Jiu buys anything he wants!!) But certainly not in the case for Caitlyn (well, not yet anyway) You have to give it to my brother…he is just great with them. Maybe it’s because he loves them so much and kids just ‘feels’ it. He used to call them on the phone all the time via 3G. He was afraid that they’ll not remember how he looked like. *Hahaha!!* Especially when Caitlyn was born, he called almost every other day. Well, now not anymore! Thanks to Skype and ever since I bought my laptop, he has gone to get himself a view-cam so that we can Skype instead. Isn’t technology just amazing. It has really brought us closer, being in another country is no longer an issue. The kids both (yes, even Caitlyn) loves it when they are on Skype. I guess it’s the thrill of seeing themselves and their favorite Jiu0Jiu (uncle in Mandarin) on screen.
