Why Santa didn’t pick up my list?

You all know the Santa story and how the whole ‘process’ from wish list to pressies on Christmas morning right. Well, Aiden too. We told him the Santa story last year and he remembered it. So, this year he has made his very 1st wish list because the lil’ fella can form his ABCs now. This is what he wrote,

“Dear Santa,

please

cooking set

Aiden Tan

4 days after he has made the list and stuck it to the tree after proudly showing it to Daddy *ahem! Smart Boy* and Daddy corrected a few mistakes and added on the “please’ and ‘thank you’, he asked us,

“Why Santa didn’t pick up my list?”

Greg and I started at each other and Greg mouthed to me,

“Why?”

I was in one of my Bimb moments… I didn’t have an answer and couldn’t come up with one. So, finally Greg said,

“Well, that because the windows are always closed at night and Mommy is always up till so late doing her scrapbook! That’s why the Santa and his elves cannot come in to pick up your list.”

I don’t know how it suddenly become about my scrapbooking. But that matter will be another entry all together, which I’m still deciding if I should. It’ll be one of those…too honest kinda blog entry which I’ll regret later.So anyway back to Aiden and his list… The window was left open that night but he threw a fit that night and couldn’t fall asleep. I have no idea what was wrong…it was one of those things that they do not write about in parenting books or magazine with 123 steps and tips and the side. My conclusion is…too much fun and junk food before bedtime, he went crazy! And for those of you who knows Aiden, he is already CRAZY by normal standards to any child on his ‘normal’ days. But anyhow, the list was magically picked up by ‘Santa’ before he went to work that day and… Santa even replied to Aiden. This is what he said,

“Dear Aiden,

The elves and I have received your Christmas list. Thank you for leaving the window open. Always be good.

Love Santa.
