Etik (our maid) and I spent half the day packing…and this is only the kid’s stuff. Most of the time was spent contemplating what is necessary and what I can leave behind. I kept putting things in and taking things out of the bag. Well as we all know when it comes to kids especially babies..everything is necessary. If I could, I’ll bring her bathtub as well! But I don’t think AirAsia will check it in and I don’t think Daddy will be too happy unless he intends to be the laughing stock when he returns to work.

So what is necessary and what can we live without? What is the extend of necessary? I think it all depends on you. What you can live without and what are the things that saves your sanity. And of course safety wise, if you are travelling in a car, a car seat will be great and comfortable for them too.

So, at last I did manage to fit all of their things in one check-in bag. I had to fight off the urge to bring the bathtub! I just reminding myself that whatever I can buy i can afford to leave behind, just bring enough to last at-least 2 days. Which means I cannot forget Aiden’s smelly bo-bo (bolster)and Caitlyn’s chow-bo (smelly blanket) and her jut-juts (dummies). Even then, I ended up with a whole suitcase full of clothes and diapers…(sigh) Only a mommy will understand. And not forgetting a whole basket full of their munchies…Luckily for the LAG policy now..otherwise I’ll be packing their favorite drinks as well! (like they don’t sell stuff like that in Macau or Hong Kong) Sigh!!

Well… all said and done the next time I’ll be wiser,my bags will be a lot lighter!
