Ultra Cool Mama

Yesterday after I came back from coffee with ‘the gurls’, Greg ask Aiden to serve me some of the ’stuff’ he cooked. Aiden was playing with his toy ’stove’… I went into his room and guess what he served me? Star toufu and alphabet soup… !! Wonderful….

He had actually filled up the toy pot with water and (God knows) where he found the star ‘toufu’ from and alphabets from his word game toy…  Very lovely indeed…. I was actually *secretly* kinda worried that e would really expect me to drink it after he served it to me in a small bowl. *yikes** I swear to you, it smells funny too. I wonder what else he has added into his soup. Luckily after slurp-slurp.. (pretending to drink the soup) he happily took back to bowl and emptied the contents back into the pot and continue cooking…

So I also poke fun at him lah… I asked him how come Daddy didn’t get some soup? Or maybe he already did before I came home… LOL!!!

Kangaroo's Paws

Have you seen these flowers before? It’s called Kangaroo’s Paws from Australia (naturally… *insert roll eyes here*) Last Friday after I dropped Greg off at Sentral station, Caitlyn and I went to get a spot of lunch and I felt like buying myself some flowers… (I do sometimes feel like cheering up with some flowers) I use to buy them very often for the house but no so lately. Better save some money. 

But today I just ‘felt’ like it. So this is what I ended up with, some Madonna Lilies, Lisianthus and some Kangaroo’s Paws… Aiden is always thrilled when I buy flowers and he will ask the names of all the flowers.. So, I do keep track and notice what are the names, just in case my little botanist comes asking. Today the Kangaroo’s Paws piqued his interest. 

Mommy: It’s called Kangaroos Paws…

Aiden: Kangaroo!!?

Mommy: Yes, because it looks like a Kangaroo’s paws.. do you think it looks like it?

Aiden: Why? …

Mommy: Ya.. like i said, because it looks like the paws of a Kangaroo. Don’t you think so?

Aiden: Ya.. but it looks like small little yellow bananas really. So why don’t they call it small little yellow bananas?

Aiyo… I don’t know how to answer this boy anymore… Getting too smart for me.If there is a thing as too smart, it’s him..

Some update on our puppy Bijou… She has actually gotten quite big now, so I really don’t think she is ‘really’ a miniature schnauzer (like what I was told by the owner of the pet shop) But really… how do we know and how do you gauge how small or big a ‘miniature’ dog is suppose to be? You’ll only know when you’ve had them for awhile and notice that they can’t stop growing… and till then, it’s not like you are going to return them to the shop just because they are not as small as you expect them to be… :-|  Anyway… Bijou has gotten quite at home with us now. For the first week she was actually quite quiet and demure…. But now she is like a different dog! She SO playful and energetic! And she has a thing for rubber door stoppers!! I’ve bought her a chew toy which she loves but it’s nothing compare to the door stopper… It did drive me up the wall when I can’t find it but now I have somehow just surrendered. I suppose she is just like a kid… also very ‘manja’.  She has also learn to crawl out of the apartment through the grill. Which makes me a bit worried incase somebody might just kidnap her but she can find her way back. Today I thought he was missing because I can’t find her… but guess where I found her?

Safe hiding place

Under our rattan Ikea rocking chair… I guess it a safe hiding spot to go unnoticed and stay out of trouble from the kids. Coz when the kids starts playing with her and things gets a bit crazy and Bijou jumps on them… guess who gets the heat? 

She has also somehow, became a Manchester United supporter… Guess who’s influence lah..
