Not too long ago, a friend read my blog. And he asked me a very interesting question… How come I never scrap myself or write anything about me? He asked me why do I blog? I told him so that (hopefully) Aiden and Caitlyn would read it one day and I scrap to document about them. He said, “Wouldn’t you think that they’ll want to read about you and your thoughts too? It’s important that they ‘know’ you too.”
Hmm.. I never really thought about that. I never thought of it that way. I thought that by writing a blog they actually hear my thoughts. Well… then I went through my blog and yeah… I never scrap about myself. I never thought it was important. Then I tried to scrap a LO of myself and then I realized that it’s harder then I thought!! Ironically… I found the journalling part the hardest and I call myself a blogger! And I couldn’t really find a photo of myself to scrap. LOL!!
Until last night my friends had a gathering at Erica’s office and she has all this things all set up for a photo shoot (She owns an advertising company) and took the opportunity to take profile pictures for all of us. So, this photo is one of them (thanks Erica!) Now I have no excuse!
Here is what’s written in the LO.
I never knew that Iíll be a Mom.
I never knew how to BE a Mom, actually I still donít I guess Iím still trying…
I never knew that I could love someone So much until I had kids.
I never knew that I could be quite a geek until I had my own laptop and started my blog.
I never knew that I can be quite patient.
I never knew that I can be quite a cook until I have my own family. Now even Mom and Dad comes over for dinner almost everyday.
I never knew that I can have my heart outside of my body…they run around and trash up the whole house everyday.
I never knew that I can ever be ok going out without my hair done and sans make-up until I became a Mom.
I never knew how much everything cost and how to bargain until I had to do the marketing myself.
I never knew that I can actually survive without without wearing high heels.
I never knew how to bake until I met my MIL.
I never knew that I can miss my parents until I got married.
I never knew how much I loved travelling until I stopped flying.
I never knew that I can actually have normal girlfriends who are not faghags (and get along with them) until I met Pat, Hooi Min and Lii Chu. And they actually except me for who I am.
I never knew that I can be quite tolerant.
I never knew that I can be quite handy until I had my own place.
I never knew that I can sew until I learned how to quilt.
I guess I never knew that I never knew all these things until I actually did it and took a chance to learn it.
